TRS Range Services (TRS) was brought on to the project team to do the design and construction of developing an open baseball field into a 100-yard, 10 lane shooting range. This facility is to be used by the public and City law enforcement. TRS was responsible for providing all design, materials and labor to give the City a complete turn-key facility within a short period of time.
Provided within this project were:
- Range design and permitting
- Development of a facility capable of safely handling required ammunition
- Granular Rubber Bullet Trap with an Integrated Stormwater Filtration System
- Ballistic Concrete Walls
- Automated turning target systemthat includes a wireless handheld target control
- Concrete firing lines at the 100 yard, 75 yard, 50 yard and 25 yards forward to the target line
- Covered canopy area at the 100 yard firing line to cover firing line and seating area behind
- Enclosed storage shed formaterial & target control system, including lighting & electrical outlets
- Down range lighting and overhead lighting beneath the covered canopy
- Gravel driveway down the length of the range for training purposes
- Installed sound absorbing board on all range wall and baffle surfaces
- Erosion control and re-vegetation
- Site security fencing
- ADA access for use of the range
